No Surprises Act

As licensed healthcare professionals, we are required to supply all current clients with a standard notice of client/patient rights according to the “No Surprises Act” (NSA). Upon scheduling your first appointment, your counselor will provide you with a notice customized according to your agreement with their services and fees.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. We offer a range of services for individuals and couples with varying needs. Because treatment plans are unique to each person, we provide an individualized Good Faith Estimate (GFE) based on your specific needs.

  • Your Rights: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • Timing: You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you schedule an item or service at least 3 business days in advance, we will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your visit.

  • Dispute Rights: If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
